 Summertime here we go!

It's gettin hot out here! California we miss u! Hope everyone is doing fine!  Hoping to get out and visit soon!

Rebecca will soon graduate High School! YAY! A full year ahead - she's working hard! Graduation is June 12th!
Georgie will graduate too! He will be graduating on May 26th from 8th grade and be a high schooler! Can you believe this?
Lukey is doing good and will pass 3rd grade and unto 4th.
Miss Grace is just a bundle of energy and just keeps us going! She has soo much energy! She just got over MRSA and is running around like crazy!
George and I are well too!

I have made another small slideshow so you can see our rugrats!  I hope to see everyone in Cali soon! Love you all ~

Wow - where does the time go!!!

So it's been a few months, huh? Well, I guess life just keeps moving whether we stop and smell the roses or not.

I just want to say that I am a great aunt! My great niece Emily Jade Torres came into this world on August 19th! We are happy! We were privileged to be there for her birth and first few days! I got to hold her little body in my arms throughout her first night with us! She smelled so baby sweet it was hard to not keep her all to myself! Evelyn and Miguel - we love you and Emily is beautiful!!!

We stopped by the cemetery to visit my brother, Javi's grave and bring him flowers! We all miss him so much!

Boys went back to school and even played sports. Georgie played baseball and although they were doing good they lost and didn't get to go to championships today! :( Georgie did great! We are proud of him!


Luke is doing tackle football. Even though he is not very aggressive on the field he loves hanging out there with his friends. They won their bowl game today! Overall he is in it for the fun!

Rebecca will be turning 16!!! this Tuesday! Can you believe it? It was just yesterday that we brought her home, she was in the Mommy and Me classes, was selling elotes and tamales from her diaper bag at home to us, and so many other cute things that I am sad at how the time has flown!!!! :( Well, she has grown into the most beautiful young lady and has a heart of gold. She annoys her brothers and little sister sometimes but that's what big sisters are for, right? Well, she is doing well in the online high school and is even set to graduate a year early IF she does well in the following months. She would love to learn how to drive...any sane/safe volunteers to teach her out there? j/k..we'll get to it sooner or later, I'm sure.

And last but not least in the news about the kiddos....is Miss Gracie. She is running, yelling, can move a-small-table-over-to-the-trampoline-by-herself-and-get-on, hilarious when she is making the mad face (aber la cara?) and making us laugh every day! She is almost 2...loves the water and her brothers, sister and momma and papa! Lights up the room except when she is having a fit! Typical almost 2 year old stuff!


George is doing well at work, doesn't like me commenting on his job so moving along. I am doing well too. Still battling the bulge! and trying to stay healthy.

We miss everyone in California and wish we could go more often but such is life! Times are tough all around but we have our health and God is with us all the time!

Oh, Last but not least : We were at George's cousin Liz's wedding last weekend. The bride was beautiful, the groom handsome and the day was glorious! It was 100 degrees in mid October! Warm but beautiful!

Summertime!

Boy it's hot out here! It's been about a month since I last posted so just wanted to give a little recap of what's going on out here in the sun!

Boys are on summer vacation but Rebecca still has a week and a half to go. She is doing well but needs to catch up on some writing assignments! What else is new...but she is doing great. She ended her last online school session with A's! so proud!

Anyways, Gracie is growing and having a blast with us now that she can run away from us. She is doing so many cute things we wish you were all here to see her and laugh out loud! Soon.

So, we've been to the pool a few times and had Anthony stay over once, and Luis' twins spent some time too. Went swimming at Tia Amelia's too. I'll have to get some more pictures loaded and see what I have to show. Well, we hope everyone is doing great God Bless you all!

More Gracie girl! and us too!

Well, I did say I would post more...so here it is.

Miss Grace is now 15 months old, Rebecca is almost 16 - yikes, where did the time go, Georgie is now 13! and Mr Luke is 8 years old! Time is flying by!

The boys just celebrated their birthdays and we went to California for Marissa's quinceanera so we kinda wrapped it all together. Since George was not able to come along we had a small celebration at home - just watching a movie and dinner.

Now back to Miss Gracie, she is almost running - away from us that is! She likes that we chase her around and she thinks she can get away but not! It is so cute that now she tells you uh, uh, uh while wagging her finger back and forth telling you no..

She is such a ham that she stops and smiles when I get the camera out!

Miss Rebecca just completed her first 6 week block on the online high school program she is doing and got A's! I am so itchy (I mean proud but I tell her I am itchy because I gave her a little ceramic heart a while back that said "Me haces muy orgullosa" (You make me proud) and she says "what is that itchy?") So now we say she make me itchy! ha ha!

Georgie actually had just gone to Cali 2 weeks before us. His school band was part of a competition at Disneyland and they placed 1st in the middle school division! YAY Coyotes!

Luke is just Luke! He still tries to use the same lines - when he wants something from the pantry - mostly desserts- he says " I was getting it for you, Dad not for me." He is doing good in school although he is just as much a daydreamer as Reebee is! Oh well, maybe Grace will be like Georgie! Either way they are great kiddos!

We are so thankful to God for all our blessings! George continues to work hard but has started to play a little too! He just went fishing and has started to play a little soccer again with his cousin Charles!

Marissa's Quince!!!

Okay! So it's been a while!

We were just in California for my niece's quincenera! We hadn't gone back to Cali since last year when my brother Javier and George's Aunt Gloria had passed away.

This time our family got together to give God thanks for Marissa's 15 years! It was so much fun to see cousins, aunts, uncles, but most of all my parents, sisters and brother!

The party was great! That candy bar rocked!!!! The music got everybody dancing - partner or not! WE stayed until the very end...what else is new. Enjoy the slideshows!

Well, I guess this can be a great way to get some of our short clips of things Gracie does to you...This is something Gracie just started to do! She sits up, still supported by pillows so she doesn't go to one side, and rocks back and forth! She looks so cute in her "boy" pjs...they were a gift! She is also trying out a sippy cup!

A friend invited us to go swimming this week too so we took some outdoor shots of the kids together. And Gracie got her first pair of sunglasses.

Summer is Here!!

It is officially summer but it's been so hot out here who knew it wasn't summer yet! We have been in the record hitting heat for a couple of weeks. We are in for a small break, yeah right, we are going from 115 to maybe 109 or so BIG BREAK huh! Well, we'll make the most of it. We are counting the days until our big camping trip with George's brothers family in about 2 weeks! yikes that crept up all of a sudden. The kids are excited and quite frankly can't wait to get out of this house for some traveling and fun!


Miss Grace is growing like a beautiful flower and is getting stronger everyday. She can almost stay sitting up on her own for a while. She laughs and chuckles so happily. if only she could stay this small forever. She maybe cutting teeth soon too! She gets fussy and kinda grinds her gums. She also started drinking water out of a sippy cup! They make them with a silicone top just like bottles! Yeah, maybe we wont get into the bottle wars after all. It was not too hard to wean my babies off of bottles but why bother if you don't have to.


Father's Day was good! The kids woke George up gave him their homemade cards. Then he opened his gifts. He really like his T-shirt with the iron-on of all the kids when they were babies like Grace!

We took some small video clips with our digital camera of Grace babbling and laughing. I will try to get them uploaded!

Our very first blog ever!!!!

Hello Everyone! I thought I might give it a shot and share our family news with our family and friends. It may take a while to get used to it so bear with us!

Our numbers have grown! We are now SIX!!!!! Our beautiful little girl, Grace Elena, arrived on January 28th! She is so gorgeous and such a sweet baby! Her chubby cheeks are so tempting - you just want to kiss them all the time!!!!! Her brothers and sister are so happy and they practically fall over themselves just to do stuff for her.

I can't wait until she is a little older to hear her chuckle and see her smile more. But I am also wanting to keep her this tiny longer...she is already growing too fast!

Rebecca, George, and Luke are being home schooled. We've been homeschooling for six months! I can't beleive we've made it this far! It's been difficult at times, what with my pregnancy, kidney stone and then the delivery we have been side tracked far too many times! With God's help we will make it through this school year!
